Student Clubs & Organizations

Student Clubs play an integral role at the Shidler College of Business. We encourage all students to join a club or organization as a way of engaging in student life and making connections with other students. 


Accounting Club

Established in 1964, the Accounting Club is a Student Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) whose main goal is to promote the professional and personal development of its members. For many years the Accounting Club has won national recognition from the IMA.

In cooperation with the School of Accountancy (SOA), the Accounting Club provides additional perspectives and supplemental information concerning public, private, and governmental accounting through carefully planned social and business-oriented events.

The Accounting Club ranks high among the largest student organizations at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and welcomes students from all academic disciplines.

American Marketing Association (AMA)

Open to all students who have an interest in Marketing. AMA aims to provide members with the opportunity to develop a better understanding and appreciation of marketing and creativity.

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP)

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is an international honors organization for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of BAP is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business informational field. 
Founded in 1974, the Delta Theta Chapter is one of over 300 chapters established at AACSB-accredited business schools across the globe. Membership is reserved for accounting students of high scholastic standing. The Delta Theta Chapter has consistently been recognized nationally, earning the designation of superior chapter. The chapter provides many opportunities to meet and interact with accounting students, faculty, and professionals.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)

A national business honor society; membership by invitation only. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a student can receive in an undergraduate or master's program in business or management accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International).

Business Executive Society of Tomorrow (BEST)

An academic business society open to all business majors with a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher, and who are interested in interacting with a diverse field of business professionals. BEST strives to provide our members with a platform to meet and network with professionals in Hawaii's Business Community.

Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Hawaii Student Entrepreneurs

Hawai'i Student Entrepreneurs (HSE) is an entrepreneurs club at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and a Shidler College of Business Student Organization. Our mission is to inspire students to be entrepreneurs and to help students start and grow businesses. All of our members will learn how to start a business, meet established entrepreneurs, and learn about various entrepreneurial topics. We are active in the local business, entrepreneurial and startup community here in Hawaii and attend many networking events. We are open to students of all majors and all levels of entrepreneurship. We are the future entrepreneurs of Hawai'i.
