This year, 68 of Shidler top business students have joined the University of Hawai‘i chapter of the international business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS). On November 18, members of the BGS class of 2017 will proudly pledged to maintain and uphold the ideals of the renown honor society - honor, wisdom and earnestness - at a special induction ceremony to be held at the Shidler College of Business.
For more than 40 years, the University of Hawai‘i chapter of BGS, has welcomed Shidler’s highest achieving students to join the ranks of the best and brightest business students from around the world. To receive an invitation to join BGS, a student must be enrolled in an AACSB-accredited school and rank academically in the top 10 percent of their junior class, top 10 percent of their senior class, or the top 20 percent of their graduate class.
BGS has more than 550 collegiate chapters on six continents and members in more than 160 countries. It is the world’s leading honor society for business and management education. As a member, students receive valuable life-time benefits throughout their collegiate and professional careers.
