Renowned real estate developer Jack E. Myers (BBA 1970) kicked off the inaugural Flores Real Estate Lecture Series on April 20 at the Waialae Country Club.

Over 250 professionals attended this sold out event moderated by Pacific Business News Editor A. Kam Napier. In his presentation, Myers gave a brief history of his past real estate projects in Hawai‘i and San Francisco, and addressed issues and trends in Hawai‘i’s real estate industry through a Q&A session.

As chairman and CEO of the Myers Development Company located in San Francisco, Myers has developed an extensive portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality, and industrial properties in Hawai‘i and California valued at over $1.7 billion. Since 1974, Myers has played a large role in helping to shape Honolulu’s skyline with such iconic buildings as the First Hawaiian Center, Hawaii Prince Hotel, Waikiki Trade Center and One Archer Lane to name a few.

Myers is a 1970 graduate of the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and a 1998 inductee into the college’s Hall of Honor.

The lecture series was made possible thanks to a generous donation from L&L Drive-Inn/L&L Hawaiian Barbecue President and CEO Eddie Flores, Jr. (BBA 1970) and his wife Elaine.
