Master of Science Program

Master of Science in Finance (MSF)

The MSF program will equip students with advanced theories and best practices in the financial industry. In particular, the program will train students and help them obtain jobs in areas such as corporate financial management, banking and investment management, wealth management, and risk management and insurance. The MSF program will help students obtain the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst®), the FRM (Financial Risk ManagerTM), the CFP (Certified Financial Planner®), and or the ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) certifications that have become golden standards in the financial industry. Students will learn research skills using financial databases avaliable at Shidler such as Bloomberg terminals, Datastream, and Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS).

Our graduates will be able to secure jobs in asset management, securities investment, banking, insurance, wealth management, financial management/planning, real estate and much more.

Master of Science in Finance (MSF) Admission Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0
  • GMAT or GRE score (recommended but not required)*
  • TOEFL or IELTS score (international applicants only)
  • Applicants with a non-finance related undergraduate degree may be considered for the program but may be required to take additional foundational courses in the areas of mathematics, economics and accounting

Tuition

Program cost for the MSF is $887/credit*. Most students should expect to take 30 credits in order to complete the program but depending on individual student preparation, some students may be required to take additional courses.

Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS)

Where business, technology, and data analytics meet.

The MSIS program provides advanced managerial and technical skills to meet the demand for information technology (IT) professionals across business sectors and around the globe. The digital economy relies on IT professionals to guide corporate technology investments, manage and protect information assets, and harvest big data. This requires professionals who are innovative, agile, and responsive to change and who have the knowledge and skills to incorporate IT innovations into business practices. The MSIS program is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed to be successful in this rapidly growing business environment.

Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) Admission Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 (preferably in a business management field with an emphasis on information systems)
  • Competency in STEM related fields such as information systems, computer science, or statistics
  • Work experience in the IT industry preferred
  • GMAT or GRE score (recommended but not required)*
  • TOEFL or IELTS score (international applicants only)
  • Applicants with a non-information systems related undergraduate degree may be considered for the program but may be required to take additional foundational courses

Master of Science in Marketing Management (MSMM)

The MSMM program provides students with in-depth knowledge of the latest advances in marketing management and broadens opportunities for rewarding and profitable careers in the field. Using highly qualified instructors, this one-year master’s degree program will help students succeed as marketing managers in today’s increasingly competitive and rapidly changing business environment.
