Dev Strischek (MBA 1970)

Dev Strischek (MBA 1970) has been appointed to the Private Company Council (PCC) of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2018. The PCC advises FASB on appropriate accounting treatment for private firms as well as possible alternatives within GAAP to address the needs of users of private company financial statements.

Most recently, Strischek served as senior vice president and senior credit policy officer of corporate risk management at SunTrust Banks, Inc. in the Greater Atlanta Area. Prior to that, he was credit administrator and managing director of credit risk management in SunTrust’s Florida commercial lending and corporate investment banking areas, respectively.

In addition, he has written about credit risk management, financial analysis and related subjects for the Risk Management Association’s (RMA) Journal as well as other professional journals, and he is the author of Analyzing Construction Contractors and its related RMA workshop. Strischek is a member of the RMA Journal’s advisory board and a member of the ABA’s Commercial Lending and Graduate Banking School advisory board.
