2009 Pacific Asian Management Institute (PAMI) Summer Program

For over 30 years, the PAMI Summer Program has brought people together from countries around the world to study and exchange ideas on international business and related issues. The PAMI Certificate Program, Pacific Asian Lecture Series (PALS), PAMI Asian Field Study Program, and Annual N.H. Paul Chung Memorial Lecture are pillars of the Shidler College of Business's quest for International Excellence.

PAMI Certificate

The Pacific Asian Management Institute offers certificate programs in International Management (3 classes, 3-credit hours each) and International Entrepreneurship (3 classes, 3-credit hours each).

 

Pacific Asian Lecture Series (PALS)

The Pacific Asian Lecture Series (PALS) allow students, faculty and members of the community to interact with experts in international business and entrepreneurship.

 

Summer Session I Classes

Classes in International Business: An Entrepreneurial Perspective, International Corporate Governance, Economic and Financial Environment of Global Business, Global Management & Organizational Behavior.

 

Summer Session II Classes

Classes in Japanese Management, International Business Marketing Strategy for Growth in Emerging Markets, Global Management & Organizational Behavior, International Management and Industrial Relations: Management of Multinational Corporates, Cross-Cultural Communication in International Business.

Annual N.H. Paul Chung Lecture

The N.H. Paul Chung Memorial Lecture is held annually in honor of Dr. Chung, who founded PAMI in 1977, and features a distinguished individual discussing an important international topic of interest.

 

Asian Field Study

The 26th Annual Asian Field Study Program provides graduate and undergraduate students real world experiences in Asia's dynamic business environment. The 2009 Asian Field Study consists of a 2 credit pre-trip International Business Topics course (BUS 475/675) and a 1 credit International Business Field Experience (BUS 476/676), for a total of 3 credits.
