Information for Coaches

One of the most personally rewarding ways to give back to the community is to get directly involved. The Business Plan Competition needs your skills, your business and professional experience, and most of all, your enthusiasm for working with university students as they try their hand at developing new businesses for Hawaii.

Coaches will be assigned to teams that qualify for the semi-final round.  The amount of time spent per team by each coach will depend on decisions made by the teams and the coaches. But we suggest that you plan on spending at least eight hours during the course of the Competition. Some coaches will find they spend more time than this, and we encourage you to do what makes sense for you given your own interests and constraints.
