Masters in Financial Engineering Reception

Shidler's Master of Financial Engineering program launched this fall with a bright and diverse group of 28 students. The group holds an impressive average quantitative GRE score of 787 with nine scoring a perfect 800. Sixty percent are international students representing countries such as Japan, Serbia, and Russia. Over the next year, the students will complete a rigorous curriculum that will prepare them to address the needs of the finance industry in the fields of banking, insurance, risk management and investments. Taking advantage of Hawai'i's unique mid-Pacific location, they will also study modeling, valuation and hedging with the use of weather derivatives. View press releases
