Nepal Microfinance Field Study

The Nepal Microfinance Program, May 2009 and The Grameen Summer Internships are outstanding opportunities to work in the global microfiance communities with unique global organizations . You will have an opportunity to use your skills in an individually designed work experience. Grameen and its staff will create a situation in which, for example, you may visit Grameen loan recipients and interact with them at the village level. You may also work at headquarters in a finance position depending upon your education and individual interests. These are rare and exciting possibilities for highly motivated students

"I fell in love with Nepal as soon as I arrived in Kathmandu. I went to Nepal for the mountains.

Ihad a business exporting from Nepal for five years, and I go back to Nepal for the experience.Nepal suffers from extreme poverty and political instability, but the people are happy and only look to thefuture for prosperity.Everywhere you go in thecountry is like being in a time warp where old world practices meettechnology and innovation. Nepal is often forgotten inthe developed world's foreign policy. Givenpolitical stability the country willbe a haven fortourism. Nepal has physical assets thatare found nowhere else on Earth. I will continue to go back to Nepal for the rest of my life."
